# Song Review: Countervela - "Everything All"

Irish Alternative Rock act **Countervela** just released their first single, *Everything All*, marking their return from their 2024 hiatus, where the band took time to reinvent their sound.

Vocalist **Ciaran Colton** states:

> "This track marks the beginning of our journey together once again. As a collective, as a band, it carries all the hallmarks of who we are now and where we’re headed musically, it feels transformative. Lyrically, it’s about pressure, risk, and love, and ultimately, it finds its resolution."

Filled with lyrical depth, *Everything All* begins with layered singing vocals and melodic, clean guitar strums before suddenly launching into bright drums and high-energy electric guitar. Suddenly, the track slows again, creating a powerful atmosphere that has an emotional and cinematic sound. 

Countervela creates a harmonic sound that feels like a stripped-down, acoustic ballad–crafting catchy melodies and powerful storytelling that is contrasted by sudden, dynamic changes from softer sections to explosive hard rock, featuring scream-singing, and huge shifts in contrast from moment to moment.
