**Hopout**, a rock trio hailing from Pensacola, Florida, released their breakout single "Bad Luck" in April 2025, which has already racked up over 300k streams. The band formed in 2017, but the 3-piece has been playing together in different bands for over 12 years. 

*Bad Luck* wastes no time**,** starting with a lofi chorus intro that bursts into an instrumental chorus, instantly catching the listener with an infectious hook. In a surprising switch-up, Hopout jumps into a verse with EDM bass beats and distant pads creating bright melodies that launch back into the song's addictive chorus.

Hopout creates a distinct pop-punk sound throughout *Bad Luck* that invokes a sense of nostalgia while staying modern with crystal-clear production. After a soaring solo, a crowd chanted chorus changes things up before a final full chorus fades the track out.
