Coming at you from Alabama, False Jasmine's 2020 track "Lasking Hail" is a progressive rock song that mixes influences from R&B, jazz, and more! The 4-and-a-half-minute song starts with dark and reverbed instrumentals, along with melodic singing vocals. In a dynamic shift, there is a distorted instrumental run and soaring guitar solos that change the mood of the song to upbeat and energetic. "Lasking Hail" overall has a unique sound that seems to draw from psychedelic rock blended with progressive/math rock, heavy jazz elements, and even slight elements of pop.

Vocal hooks and harmonies work in tandem with the technical instrumental riffage and even bright brass tones to keep the song sounding fresh and interesting.
