Look Alive released their latest single "Scum" on October 27th. The track starts with an energetic drum build-up and screeching guitar before exploding into heavy-hitting guitar riffage and screamed vocals. "Scum" displays an aggressive hardcore sound. Clocking in at 2 and a half minutes, Look Alive creates a brutally intense song filled with guitar dissonance, powerful vocals, dynamic drumming, and thumping bass. 

"Scum" features ferocious down-tempo breakdowns, bass-heavy guitar chugging, and a volatile sound that fans of hardcore, deathcore, and extreme metal genres will love. With a sound that reminded us of some hardcore greats like Knocked Loose, To The Grave, and Dealer, Look Alive displays a well-crafted sound. "Scum" slows down to clean guitar strumming and a more gentle vocal style before launching into a brutal breakdown. The band's use of contrast creates a refined and excellent overall sound.
