On September 13th, Near Nightmare released their newest single “Pent up Pissed Off”. The track starts off with aggressive guitar leads, booming drums, and harsh screaming vocals. Near Nightmare seems to bring a nostalgic 2000s metalcore sound to today’s modern production and utilizes a classic yet exciting sound that is unique to the band. 

Powerful riffage works alongside brutal screams to create a crushingly heavy atmosphere that is contrasted by clean vocal sections, creating deep layers of variation that keep things interesting. After a soaring guitar solo with chugging filling in the background, “Pent up Pissed Off” jumps into a breakdown with a screeching “*Bree*”. 

Near Nightmare blends a classic metal sound from genres like death metal, thrash, metalcore, and more with an exciting sound that is distinctly modern.
