# The Fiction We Create Debuts Single “The Void’s Calling”

Northern Illinois metalcore act The Fiction We Create, released their debut single “The Void’s Calling” today, September 20th. The track starts off with heavy distorted guitar riffage and harsh screams before transitioning into nu-metal inspired rap-esque vocals. Suddenly The Fiction We Create launches into a catchy chorus with powerful singing. “The Void’s Calling” quickly shows a diverse range of influences that balances multiple vocal techniques like screaming/growling, clean singing, and rapping. 

Mixing elements of melody and brutality, The Fiction We Create showcases an impressive debut single that leaves listeners excited to see what comes from the promising Illinois act next. After the second chorus, the song bursts into a darker section that takes the form of an even more extreme sound, following a more traditional death metal sound.
