Reigning from Columbus, Ohio metal act **Verkari** released their single "Fade to Red" on December 6th. The track starts with distant vocals, and lofi filtered guitar before bursting into full-volume metal destruction, trap beats, and nostalgic metalcore-style vocals and brutality. Bright synths populate the mix and add an element of melody behind the explosive guitar chugging and harsh screams. 

In a drastic switch of pacing, Verkari switches into a melodic singing chorus with alternated screams, adding a powerful sense of contrast between intensely heavy verses and anthemic choruses with addictive hooks. At just over 3 minutes, "Fade to Red" is a perfect length that leaves you wanting more and reaching for the repeat button. 

Verkari takes a classic 2000's metalcore sound and adds their own modern twist, creating a deeply attractive sound that blends the chaos and explosive action of metal with catchy pop-inspired choruses.
