# Song Review | “Rain” - Vodou Grave

Vodou Grave released their latest track, “Rain” in July. The song starts with an explosive scream alongside deep guitar chugging and high lead melodies. Rapid tremolos and double bass drumming create intensely fast rhythms that work alongside aggressive screams to create a powerfully heavy soundscape. “Rain” launches into a volatile breakdown with dissonance, impossibly fast double bass drumming and a brutal blegh. 

Forming a distinct sound that blends styles of extreme metal such as black metal, death metal and deathcore, Vodou Grave creates a dramatic and dark sound that fans of these genres are sure to enjoy. “Rain” utilizes a catchy and repeatable chorus while using only screaming and growling vocals. In an exceptionally heavy finale to the song, Vodou Grave unleashes a wicked *breee* alongside dissonant guitar chugs to exit the song.
