# Watch: SPIRITBOX Performs “Soft Spine” on Jimmy Kimmel Live

**Spiritbox** announced last week they would be a featured music guest on **Jimmy Kimmel Live**. Last night (July 7th) the act performed their song *Soft Spine* from their new album *Tsunami Sea*.

So far this year, Jimmy Kimmel Live has featured [**Knocked Loose**](https://www.themetalverse.net/knocked-loose-poppy-jimmy-kimmel/), [**Poppy**](https://www.themetalverse.net/the-story-of-poppy/), and now, **Spiritbox**—showcasing a lot of rising metal bands on mainstream TV. With many metal bands being featured on massive stages (like [Gojira at The Olympics](https://www.themetalverse.net/the-story-of-gojira-the-iconic-french-death-metal-band/)) it seems like metal may be [becoming the most mainstream it’s every been in 2o25.](https://www.themetalverse.net/iconic-times-metal-went-mainstream/) 

Spiritbox was also nominated for a Grammy Award this year—which also lead to some funny clips of Spiritbox’s vocalist [**Courtney LaPlante** being mistaken for Poppy](https://www.themetalverse.net/spiritbox-poppy-grammys/).
