Since launching in 2021, we've grown to over 100,000 readers and 4+ million people reached per month, and we're still proudly independent.

Who We Are
The Metalverse was founded in 2021 with a simple idea: independent heavy music deserves better coverage than it gets.
We've covered major tours, worked with artists from Ozzy Osbourne to Justin Bieber to Tool, and built one of the largest independent rock and metal publications online.
We're not a corporate media outlet trying to cover metal from the outside looking in. We're in the pit, at the shows, in the scene—and that's what makes the difference.
Our Editorial Standards
Every piece of content on The Metalverse is produced independently. Our editorial opinions are never influenced by advertising relationships or label affiliations. When we say a record is great, we mean it. When we say it isn't, we mean that too.
For gear reviews, all products are either purchased independently or provided as review samples with no strings attached. Loans and samples do not influence scores or conclusions.
