ALICE IN CHAINS Cancel Tour & Festival Performances Due To Health Issues
Last night Alice In Chains backed out of their tour kickoff performance for a “non-life threatening medical emergency” concerning their drummer Sean Kinney. The band just announced they would be canceling the remainder of the upcoming tour dates.
Alice In Chains was also set to play Sonic Temple Festival on Sunday and Welcome To Rockville next weekend.
Alice In Chains Official Statement
“After careful consideration and following the advice of medical professionals we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming festival performances and the Alice in Chains headline shows.
While we were all eager to return to the stage, Sean's health is our top priority at this moment. Although the issue requires immediate attention, his long-term prognosis in positive.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support during this time.”

The band has also removed all of their previous May shows from their website, but their July 5th performance at the Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath Back To The Beginning Show is still listed.
We wish Sean Kinney well and hope he has a swift recovery and and returns to good health soon.
