Irish metal act Following The Signs release new EP "Evolve" | The Metalverse

Metalcore act, Following The Signs, formed in 2017 out of Corc City, Ireland. The 5-piece act is made up of Alan Jevens (vocals), Noel Crowley and Vincent Renoux (guitars), Rory Taylor (bass), and Chris O'Hanlon (drums). Following their 2023 album "Conflictions", Following The Signs just released their newest EP "Evolve" on March 20th, 2026.

The title track, "Evolve," begins with upbeat, chiming synth keys that grow in dynamics before launching into melodic distorted guitar chords as alternated screaming and singing vocals build a sense of vocal contrast. Slamming drums and heavy guitars are met by the electronic synth influences, creating a unique sound that changes things up from traditional metal.

After the second chorus, Following The Signs jumps into a brutal breakdown as speeding double bass drumming leads into slowed tempo destruction as low growls and piercing screams cover the heavy vocal range. After a jazzy guitar interlude, the band launches into a final anthemic chorus to close out the track.

Fans of progressive metal, metalcore, and melodic metal will enjoy Following The Sign's mix of melody and heaviness. You can stream "Evolve" available on all platforms now.
