About Gwar
Gwar is an American heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1984, notorious for their elaborate science fiction and horror-themed stage personas and theatrical live performances. The band members perform as intergalactic barbarian warriors, complete with grotesque costumes, medieval weaponry, and elaborate mythology that casts them as ancient aliens banished to Earth.
