Song Review: Hopout “United States of Disorder”

Starting in 2016, pop punk trio act Hopout is back with their latest single “United States of Disorder”—following their 2025 hit single, “Bad Luck” which has over 1 million streams on Spotify alone.

“United State of Disorder” starts with electronic distorted singing as deep synth bass creates a powerful backbone before slamming drum and guitar chugs create a dramatic sound. The song soon builds into a more traditional pop punk sound with infectious melodies, blast beats, and guitar-driven rock. Interestingly the band splits vocals between all three members, allowing for a dynamic change in vocal style which keeps Hopout’s music varied throughout.

Unexpectedly halfway into the track the song bursts into a dark EDM vibe with booming 808s, screeching synths, and theatrical chanting that create an intense sound that is a pleasant surprise that changes things up before a final anthemic chorus closes out the track.

On the lyrics and meaning behind the track, Hopout comments:

The World is crazy right now. It almost seems unreal the amount of progress that’s just been destroyed in such a short time. Even crazier that it’s just been allowed to keep going. From Genocides, to finding out that we all owe conspiracy theorists an apology because the world is definitely being run by wealthy pedophiles.

Overall, Hopout does an excellent job of taking pop punk and adding in other genres to create a polished, unique sound that is fun to listen to. You can stream “United States of Disorder” available on all streaming platforms now.
