Song Review: Eyes of Creation “Unburdened”

Hailing from upstate New York, Eyes of Creation is a new metalcore act that started in 2024 with their debut EP, Guardians. The band members are far from new to the scene, though, with members writing and performing music together since 2007. Eyes of Creation's newest single Unburdened was released on November 1st, 2025.

Unburdened introduces itself with a technical metalcore riff that grows in volume as slamming drums and powerful rhythm guitar create an intense sound that blends melody and dramatics. Things change pace as trap beats, ambient guitar, and gentle singing create a softer sound that is soon joined by contrastingly heavy guitar tones, creating a powerful sense of contrast.

The song bursts into a dynamic chorus filled with soaring, energetic vocals, as bouncing guitar leads and booming drums create a strong backbone for the emphasized vocal hooks. Eyes of Creation brings screams into the fray for the first time in the second verse, showing their versatility while keeping things interesting. A bright guitar solo leads into a final, emotional chorus that leads into a scream that fades out the song.
