Song Review: Flowers for Juno "My Bloody Kisses"
Flowers for Juno is a gothic rock act that was started in December 2023 by frontman Benjó James. The band has just debuted their latest release My Bloody Kisses on December 3rd, 2025.
My Bloody Kisses begins with ambient industrial noise as lofi drums slowly introduce filtered guitar and distant singing that is intentionally veiled by layers of distortion and effects. Flowers for Juno gradually introduces bright synths and vocal changes as the depth of the atmosphere continues, creating an ambient soundscape that borders somewhere between industrial music and goth.
My Bloody Kisses feels experimental, without a conventional song structure–instead focusing on building an intensely evolving soundscape throughout the 3-minute runtime. Flowers for Juno builds a unique sound that I would describe as a mashup of industrial music, lofi, and gothic rock.
