Song Review: GenarationZ "Seance"

Springfield, Missouri hard rock quintet GenarationZ have just unleashed their new single Seance.

The track bursts into action with explosive drop tuned guitar chugging as panning ambience adds to the powerful ambience. Soaring female singing kicks in as haunting piano and pad melodies bounce around the background. GenarationZ does an excellent job of balancing contrast between hard rock choruses and verses with dramatic heavy metal guitar riffs, all while building large soundscapes with distant synth and electronic elements.

In a sudden change, the outro of the song introduces another vocalist who layers over the female vocalist to create a memorable finale to the track. Seance is the band's second single, and when compared to the band's first track Probably Death there is an impressive increase in production value. Where Probable Death seems to have a "garage rock" quality mix, Seance has a polished and modern feel.

GenarationZ's production improvement on their second single is very impressive and shows how fast the band is evolving so early in their career. Fans of heavy metal, alternative music, and hard rock will definitely enjoy GenerationZ. You can stream Seance, available on platforms now!
