Song Review: Killamozz - "Pressure"
Killamozz returns with their latest single, Pressure, leading up to their debut studio album, Age of Cage, which is set for release on November 13th, 2025. Throughout their 4 singles so far, Killamozz has shown a vast array of influences, with tracks like Age of Cage showcasing a metal and EDM, Fool's Gold with industrial, metalcore, and prog elements, and To The Unknown taking on a softer, indie rock style.
Pressure begins with distant guitar riffage before introducing a repeating, thick guitar riff as catchy singing takes the forefront of the soundscape. Killamozz showcases palpable emotion with their lyrics and vocals, creating atmospheres with depth that feel genuine and powerful.
"'Pressure’ is about when love becomes survival,” the band shares. “It’s the moment you realize that what keeps you close might also be what’s breaking you apart. The song lives in that paradox—the beauty and pain of needing someone so deeply that it starts to hurt.”
Though the song features a main riff that stays consistent throughout much of the track, Killamozz does an excellent job of adding a plethora of other instrumental melodies and changing instruments that prevent the riff from feeling stale. Vocals change from soft in delivery to belted as sing-screaming is introduced later in the song, building a sense of growing emotion and dynamics throughout Pressure's 4 minute runtime.
Overall, Pressure is another strong showcase of Killamozz's powerful sound that is so impressive for being so early in their discography. You can stream Pressure available to stream now, and stay tuned for the band's full-length album Age of Cage coming November 13th.
