MAIASAURA Debuts New Album "Nashville's Biggest Nu Metal Band"

Tennessee heavy rock/nu-metal act MAIASAURA has just unleashed their newest album "NASHVILLE’S BIGGEST NU METAL BAND." Their sophomore album follows their well-received debut album "YEAR ONE” which has gained them nearly 60,000 monthly listeners and placements on major editorial playlists like "All New Metal" and "New Blood.". "NASHVILLE’S BIGGEST NU METAL BAND” is based on the concept of delusion. The duo is making a statement about the borderline delusional mindset required to achieve great success–to believe you can accomplish the impossible. MAIASAURA has made the decision to fully embrace that mindset and transform it into the creative world the album is based upon.

MAIASAURA began the album's campaign with advertisements on billboards announcing "NASHVILLE’S BIGGEST NU METAL BAND” and the overall response was just what they had hoped. People believed them. In today's world, where people are spending more time online than ever in history, the more outrageous a claim is, the more attention and curiosity it will generate. The band even created an MTV Cribs-inspired music video where frontwoman, April, portrayed a fictitious "rich" version of herself while using prosthetics and exaggerated visuals to portray an absurd character and storyline.

What started at first as an intentionally exaggerated joke and an experiment has quickly become a highly successful marketing tactic for the band that has grown their fanbase to a huge new audience.

“‘Nashville’s Biggest Nu Metal Band’ represents everything MAIASAURA has built since day one: ambition, independence, self-belief, creativity, and the willingness to go all-in on their vision.”

Their goal isn't just to make a funny joke, though. It's a commentary on the mindset required to build success from the ground up. Every independent artist has to be a little delusional to believe they can create something meaningful before the world recognizes it. When it really comes down to it, success is just the intersection of extreme belief in yourself and hard work.

MAIASAURA’s new album may be called “NASHVILLE’S BIGGEST NU METAL BAND” but only time can tell if they will become it.

You can stream the album, available on all platforms now.

About MAIASAURA:

MAIASAURA is an American rock band that was formed by April Kulick and Jacob Kulick in Tennessee in 2023. During that time, April and Jacob were both focused on their careers, but they came to realize that their strongest creative chemistry was when they built something together. The duo soon began to develop a hard rock and nu metal project that combined their musical influences, with April performing vocals and both members co-writing each song together.

Their debut album “YEAR ONE” gave listeners around the world a taste of MAIASAURA’S concoction of alternative influences, Nu metal energy, and melodic songwriting. Their breakout single “GIRLS JUST WANNA” began to gain traction and helped the band build their audience. “YEAR ONE” was fully self-produced, mixed, and mastered by Jacob, showcasing the band’s commitment to being fully independent.
