Oleg Stalker Releases Debut Solo Album, "Star Wanderer"

Oleg Stalker (known for his work in Mystericon, and Merthery) just released his debut solo album Star Wanderer. Drawing from all across the scope of metal genres, Oleg stated his biggest influences–especially when starting, are Judas Priest, Kreator, Accept, Tiamat, and Paradise Lost.
The first work of his solo project under his name, Star Wanderer was released on June 20th of 2025. Throughout the 8 track LP, Oleg showcases his sound that blends a nostalgic old-school metal sound that pays homage to heavy metal greats–while still keeping a modern sound that is distinct to him. Some songs like The Hatred take a more traditional sound that draws parallels to acts like Iron Maiden while songs like Star Wanderer use celestial synths that add a distinct theatrical, space-like sound that keep things wildly interesting.
From slamming drum grooves, racing guitar riffs, and technical solos, to soaring vocals, and catchy melodies, Oleg Stalker showcases his wide range of musicianship throughout his solo work.
Oleg comments on the lyricism of the album:
"The lyrics of the songs are filled with a sense of romantic perception of the world and the accompanying passion."
Star Wanderer covers a wide array of sound from galloping thrash, to classic heavy metal, to ballads–the 8 track LP has something for everyone. Overall Star Wanderer shows listeners exactly what to expect from Oleg Stalkers solo work and fans of 80s and 90s metal are certain to enjoy the mix of nostalgia with a more modern take on the sound.
