Prozac Children Release New EP “Farmyard Rapist”

Prozac Children just released their latest EP Farmyard Rapist, on April 25th, 2025. The band quickly showcases a raw and authentic sound that draws from crust-punk with a signature political touch–inspired by the likes of Crass and Discharge.
Prozac Children introduces hard-hitting instrumental riffs while shrill and aggressive vocals blast over the mix. The band creates a very distinct punk sound with upbeat chords, meanwhile harsh vocals and racing drum beats create galloping and fierce dynamics. Although the band originates from the United States, Prozac Children pay homage to UK acts like Amebix and Doom with their industrial, apocalyptic soundscapes.
As Prozac Children's sound has evolved, they have created a unique concoction of crust punk, grindcore, post-metal, and d-beat influences that deliver a wild intensity, political themes, and a punk attitude alongside their music. The band has built a reputation for explosively energetic live shows with their mosh-worthy sound.
The EP has an overall raw production that creates a genuine but rough-around-the-edges sound. Prozac Children utilize deep growls and high screams, creating different vocal dynamics that keep things interesting.
With a runtime of just 9 minutes, the Farmyard Rapist EP is short yet powerful, staying high-energy and upbeat throughout its entire tracklist.
