Song Review: Prozac Children - "Red, White, and Black"

Prozac Children released their track Red, White, and Black in November of 2024. The song wastes no time, jumping straight into action with a rapid drum beat intro before the guitar slides into the mix, and brutally low growls act as percussive vocals.
Prozac Children very quickly form a sound that is distinct of crust-punk, while metal influences also ring true with death metal, grindcore, and d-beat elements mainly in the vocal styles. With just over a 1-minute runtime, Red, White, and Black showcases the band's highly energetic sound as speeding riffs, racing drums, and alternating growls and shrill screams create a powerful and unrelenting sound.
Known for their moshable and energy-filled live performances, Prozac Children creates a distinct sound that blends genres like across rock, punk, and metal into a sound that is distinct to the band. Drawing from acts like Discharge, Crass, Amebix and Doom, Prozac Children pay homage to classic acts while building a unique sound. You can stream their single Red, White, and Black out on all platforms now.
