Song Review: Devilz By Definition
Hailing from Windsor, Ontario, metal act Devilz By Definition have just released their latest single Devilz Knight on October 30th, 2025.
The song begins with dark church organs as a distorted demonic voice is introduced alongside slamming drums before suddenly launching into a barrage of hard-hitting guitar riffs that remind of classic heavy metal. Explosively heavy screams are met by bright guitar leads that lead into a dynamic chorus that uses scream-singing to build a sense of contrast and a change in energy from the verses.
Although the overall atmosphere is heavy and dark, Devilz By Definition add touches of melody through the use of orchestral elements and high guitar trills while the rest of the song remains unflinchingly brutal. Devilz Knight feels modern and fresh but seems to pay homage to all-time greats like Lamb of God. After an shredding guitar solo the track fades out with a slowed, ambient outro.
