Austrian metalcore act Soul Rift released their newest single, "New Dawn" on February 20th, 2026. Founded by Darko (vocals) and Raphael (guitar), Soul Rift is a fresh act with 4 single releases so far in their career.

"New Dawn" starts with ambient clean guitar and an atmospheric soundscape as growing strings and slamming drums build a cinematic feel to the song. At the 1 minute mark, the band launches into action with full intensity heavy metal guitar instrumentation as screams, explosive chugging, and speeding drum grooves create a ferocious sound. Alternated singing and screaming vocals create a sound that balances melody and destruction. The song's chorus in particular reminds me of power metal with a grandiose wall of sound as theatrical instrumentals and soaring vocals create an epic sound.

Clocking in at almost 6 and a half minutes, Soul Rift utilizes heavy verses with harsh vocals and heavier instrumentals to contrast huge, anthemic choruses that take a more emphasized focus on melody. The song's bridge features a blistering breakdown that soon leads into a bouncy guitar solo before slowly fading out as crashing waves can be heard in the distance.

Fans of metalcore, death metal, and power metal will enjoy the cinematic feel and blend of heavy and catchy elements in Soul Rift's music. You can stream "New Dawn" available on all streaming platforms now.
